Lee was raised in Jacksonville, Florida, and subsequently moved to Houston, Texas. She modeled for catalogues in her teenage years.
Lee began working as a stripper in Houston, Texas. In Houston, Lee became acquainted with Traci Topps, who encouraged her in her career.
Lee's first photo shoot was in 1991, in Manhattan, with photographer Warren Tang of Penthouse. Lee based her appearance on a likeness to Marilyn Monroe.
